If you haven’t heard, the legendary Pete Rock & duo Smif-N-Wessun are releasing a collaborative effort called Monumental.  Well, Pete & Smif-N-Wessun had a release party at Tammy Hall in NYC a few nights ago.  According to Pete, towards the end of the event the police came in and starting beating people, macing people, etc.. for NO REASON at all.  As citizens, we shouldn’t sit by idly when things like this happen.  We can’t tolerate the Police thinking they have the power to just do anything other than “protect and serve”.  By sheding light on this fiasco, we hope to make people aware that these kinds of things take place all the time!  Fight the power!
