large professor – i juswanna chill {video}

New Xtra P off his new LP, The LP…whew.  Interestingly enough the album was shelved back in 1996 by Geffen Records after madd delays on it.  in ’02 Large Pro regained the rights to his recordings and released the album as a promo only CD.  ’09 marks the year where the project gets an official release.

stussy dc “chocolate city” tee

a word from Stussy DC:

Almost two years after opening their doors the Stussy DC Chapter is set to begin the monthly release of tees exclusive to the nations capital. This new program will drop new styles monthly and will feature artwork from different artists and designers such as Eric Elms, Omar Quiambao, Jason Rodman and more. Expect to see graphics that reflect the cities aesthetics and culture, as well as original artwork by visiting artists and designers.

The month of December ‘09 marks the first month of the Stussy DC Chapter program, and slated to release first is the “Chocolate City” tee. Chocolate City being a nickname given to Washington D.C. by the legendary funk band Parliament in 1975. P-Funk enjoyed the love the city showed to the now legendary band and immortalized D.C. in their album “Chocolate City”.

The second tee being released features the artwork of Eric Elms. The internationally recognized artist/designer was commissioned by the DC Chapter in 2008 to create two art-installation pieces for the shop. The “My Way All Day” tee is a two dimensional representation of his sculpture that adorns the shop.

The “Chocolate City” and “My Way All Day” tees will be released this Saturday at Stussy DC.

free…

In Toronto, artist Sean Martindale…features his new…FREE piece, check out what Martindale said about this project:

“The Art Gallery of Ontario kindly let me use their parking lot for this project. It’s a fenced-off enclosure that bisects Butterfield Park and Grange Park here in downtown Toronto. The installation became a bit of a marathon as I tied it together over a solid twenty-four hour period, overnight and through some light rain. In the end, I used more than 21,663 feet of salvaged string – two high-tension lengths for each of the 231 points/nodes crossing the 44-foot distance between the fences, plus the letter outlines. So far, the squirrels haven’t chewed on it for their nests…’
