…Dallas Texan musician and singer Geno Young sends us ‘ smooth sailing’…
…Geno Young who crafted his skill of the violin at a very young age and furthered his interests in the musical arts in highschool and then later when he studied music at Howard University, it was a “match made in music”. Having the opportunity to work with Erykah Badu proved to be a pivotal point in Geno’s life, as he not only crafted songs but produced for the songstress as well. Responsible for writing the songs: ‘Time’s a Waistin’ and ‘Orange Moon’ off of Badu’s ‘Mama’s Gun’ LP, Geno is truly not at all selfish with his gifts. This became more evident in his contributions toward projets for N’Dambi and Carmen Rogers. Sliding in and out of the roles of producer, musical arranger as well as A&R now seem to be stepping stones for Geno as he releases his personal piece called ‘Ghetto Symphony’….
